But while at the cabin, you couldn't hear any traffic, etc., just the peaceful sounds of trees and birds, and the neighbors were quiet as well. The Woodhaven cabin was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary weekend and first time in Asheville! The fact we could bring our dog with us was the best... check out the really cute guestbook with polaroids of all the pups who have stayed at the cabin! The location couldn't be more perfect -- only 10 minutes from the downtown scene and situated in the woods for a peaceful mountain experience. Bears included. This stay was everything we hoped it would be. The surroundings of the forest and wildlife are beautiful and peaceful. The deck is spa-like and has an excellent hot tub, barrel sauna and propane fire table. Another deck area has a quality (and clean) weber grill for outdoor cooking. The host even had a box of cookies, balloons and bottle of vino for us when we checked in for our anniversary staycation.
